Reason for Hydrotherapy
Arthritis
Scottish Terrier Peggy has been coming to Bluewaters regularly following a diagnosis of arthritis in her hind legs. Peggy loves chasing her ball around the pool. Her owner Mary has noticed a real difference following her swim sessions – she is a happy, active dog. Mary brings her two other terriers to watch each session. They are lovely dogs to have at the centre – we are so pleased the warm water therapy is working so well for Peggy.
My Scottie Peggy has been going to Bluewaters since last summer. After being diagnosed with arthritis in both back legs at the age of 8 she was really struggling with her mobility, she was having monthly cartrophen injections to stop the progression of the disease but was still struggling leading an active life, now she is enjoying life to the full with no occasional lameness anymore. Having Hydrotherapy has been the best treatment for Peggy along with her cartrophen and the results have been amazing plus she enjoys going. The team at Bluewaters are very professional, caring and friendly, I know Peggy is in safe hands. Thank you Bluewaters for giving Peggy the ability to lead a very active life.
